Make a Beats – The Beat is what makes us move your head or tap your foot. The beats are organized into bars.
From what is made the beat? and how can I make a beats?
The beat is made up of three sounds of drum: the kick, the snare, and high hat. When you’re trying to listen to the beat, don’t hear a particular sound, just let your body move with the beat.
What are the bars? – make a beats
The beats are organized into bars. The bars, also known as “measures” are groups of four beats. 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4 … and so constantly. The bars, in turn, are organized into sentences.
Generally, the kick drum (the lowest sound), falls on the 1st and 3rd beat of each bar, and the snare drum, falls on the 2nd and 4th beat of each bar.
When we clap in a song, we always do it the 2nd and 4th beat of each bar. What are the phrases?

Identifying sounds.
To mix, we must identify the different sounds.
1) Play a music Cd.
2) Find the kick: It boosts the bass up in the equalizer, and lowering the mids and treble.
3) Find the snare: It boosts the snare up the mids and treble and bass down.
4) Find the high hat: It boosts the treble high hat up and down the bass.
Counting the bars
Now that you can move your head to the beat, try to count the bars. This requires a bit more attention. Counting the bars is as simple as counting to 4:1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4 … etc.
1) Play a Cd.
2) have the bars, starting with the first beat (kick sound), 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4 … until the end.
3) After you feel comfortable telling the bars, try to pull the spike in the middle of the track and see if you can count the bars properly.
Counting the phrases
As a DJ, always listen to sentences.
1) Play a Cd.
2) have the phrases: “1″, 2,3,4, “2″, 2,3,4, “3″, 2,3,4, “4″, 2,3,4, “5″ 2,3,4, “6″, 2,3,4, “7″, 2,3,4, “8″, 2,3,4 … and starting over.
3) After you feel comfortable telling phrases, pull the spike in the middle of the track and see if you can count correctly. The key is to hear the new sound that comes right in the “1″ beat. Cueing Record
